Learning doesn't have to stop after the bell rings! Mad Science after-school programs are both educational and fun. Our hands-on, one-hour, 6-week science programs include such topics as chemistry, electricity, magnetism, optics, biology, and many more. We have 8 different sets of programming, so schools will not see the same set rotate through their school for 3-4 years!

Our After-School Program Themes
pHunky pHysics
We cover 6 topics during this 6week program: chemistry, electricity, natural forces, the science behind magic, and air pressure. The kids will sit in awe as they mix chemicals, put together circuits, defy gravity, and so much more! The educational take homes will have them continuing to wonder at the science all around them!
Crazy Chemworks
Welcome to the world of chemistry! Children make slime, experiment with different reactions, and learn to use the tools that chemists use. Polymers and catalysts are only two of the fascinating concepts our young Mad Scientists explore in this thrilling trip through the chemistry lab!
NASA Academy of Future Space Explorers
NASA and Mad Science collaborate to educate the next generation! Children go on a voyage of discovery with unique hands-on activities, and amazing demonstrations that explore the sun and stars, space technology, rocket science, the atmosphere, planets and moons, and more!
Science Mania
We are CRAZY for science! In a good way, of course... We cover a different topic each of the 6 weeks, but the program is bound together in that it's all about the senses. How light travels, the interaction of electricity and magnetism, the inventive process, and so much more are covered in this 6 week session.
Dynamic Discoveries
We cover a different topic each week: etymology, forensics, geology, science of film, science of toys, and meteorology. We cover just enough of each one of these topics to get the kids interested in learning more. They take away some fun learning experiences as well as new vocabulary.
BRIXOLOGY
Using LEGO® bricks, kids build a different engineering-themed project in each class. They explore different engineering fields including mechanical, structural, aerospace, nautical, and bioengineering. They use critical thinking and creative problem-solving to test and improve their creations.

FAQ
How long are your programs (weeks and hours)?
Our standard program starts 5 minutes after the bell rings (to allow for movement to the room but not so much that the kids linger) for 1 hour and typically lasts for 6 weeks. We will be happy to discuss any atypical scheduling needs. Just call 801 292 8646.
+Who pays for an after-school program?
Typically, after-school programs are paid for by parents through registration on our website. In some cases, a PTO or other organization may opt to pay part or all of the students' enrollment. It all depends on your school.
+What does the school need to provide?
Once the school and Mad Science have finalized the dates, the school will need to provide us an area to hold the program in. We have worked in classrooms, cafeterias, etc. Together we will decide how the school wants to dispense information about the program. We are happy to make up a flier that can ether be emailed or handed out.
+How much does a Mad Science 6 week program cost?
For each child, the Mad Science program will cost $72 plus whatever facility fee the school or district charges.
